Two friends, one group of companies.
Alvar Group is the Sydney parent company behind TechRam. Two friends who met at university started it to work with businesses honestly and keep things simple. Today it is where we invest in businesses and grow them with technology.
How it started
Rami Younes and Victor Khalil met as university students and became best friends. Both went on to build careers in technology, in different specialities.
Victor led technology for a national childcare organisation, then moved to a company specialising in cloud infrastructure and digital solutions. Rami started in sales with a technology distributor, then a tier 1 technology vendor, working with enterprises in financial services and government across Australia.
Alvar began with the two of them wanting to work with businesses locally, with authenticity and simple design. TechRam is part of the group today, and Alvar Group is where the next businesses start.
What we stand for
Integrity, truth above all else, and listening first. We take an honest approach with every business we work with, and we build with the future in mind, because technology never stops changing.
Why “Alvar”
Alvar comes from Alpha: the first letter of the Greek alphabet, a first-class mark, and the brightest star in a constellation.
